Hey guys.want the nav but the Avic d3 sounds like a pain (swapping the nav then a cd to listen to) What's ur take on the Pioneer 900BT? Looks good but around $1200..will this (5.8" screen)fit in the Carson double din kit?
Any other unit out there you'd recommend? Thanks

i actually like my avic d3. i don't ever use the cd slot since i have my ipod connected to it. i love the bluetooth, the navigation has always steered me in the right direction, it is an overall good unit to me

i use D2. two dvd slots. ipod back up camera. however u need to mod the unit to watch dvd while driving tho. it's double din, bigger screem than d3. i bought it when it first came out for 1500. i dont know how much it run right now. it should be a lot cheaper tho.

 

When it comes to multimedia headunits id recommend Kenwood over Pioneer anyday...

 

i have a D3 in my Xterra and im gonna get one for my GS300 when i purchase it here soon...

i love the D3, becuase i NEVER take out the nav DVD. I never play CD's...i always use the ipod connection or the XM - mainly the XM though...

and now you cant beat it for the price you can buy a D3 online now...

i have 3 different eclispe all the way....avn 2454, 5495, 5435.
they are really good units....eclipse all the way for me. plus the buttons match the button color on our a/c display unit making look very stockish.

I have a Pioneer AVIC Z1. I love it. Damn, I didn't realize they already came out with the Z3.

 

I dont have it hooked up yet, but this is my set up: Pioneer avh-p6800DVD (6disk changer in the double din unit, 7" screen, IPOD ready). Pioneer Avic 9dvd (external navigation). Cant beat that...
Admit both of these units came out about 3yrs ago, but I dont see anything on the market right now that has that much flexibility. If you shop around bet you can find both for about $1300, brand new is another ?

 

I have a kenwood/garmin unit I got for $900 which I love, but the only thing I don't like about it is how much it sticks out.
