Default Is it worth it???

Hey gs3 owners need some advise. I do know ultimatly its my decision but thought asking for some help might make my choice easier for me.

I currently have a White 2000 gs3 it has 118,000 miles on it, and had it for about six months. I've had no problems with it and plan on cosmetic mods for now.

Walked into the dealership I bought it from today to get a new key and saw a beauty. It was a 2002 Sports Design gs3, Sliver with all black interior .

They have it priced @ $15,900 with 92k on it and in excellent condition. They also want a down payment of $3500 (no credit check, trust me wouldnt be able to get any other way) with the trade in of mine...$3500 isnt exactly in my budget but may be able to come up with it. (Using most of the money I was going to use for mods)

Any suggestions!!!!

Blue Book on that Sport Design assuming excellent condition is $13,345.

Blue book on your car is $9550 assuming excellent condition.

So basically they are going to get you for a considerable amount of cash if you trade your car in for it AND they are asking considerably above blue book on top of it all for the Sport Design. Personally I would let them keep their car and use that $3500 to make your current car however you want it. With smart buying you could get a new suspension setup as well as a nice set of wheels and still have some gas money left over.

You've got a point...If you look at retail KBB says $17,500 and $14,500 for private party (in C.A.)

My thing is, is it worth losing what I've already invested in as far my previous down wich was $3500? That would bring it up to $7000 IN LESS THAN A YEAR FOR A GS3 .

I love the look of the car and color, but reliabilty and future maintance cost also come to play. If what I pay upfront catches up with savings on maintance in the long run then I'll go for it...

-to go for it
or
-let it go

NO WAY!!!!!
most if not all used car mark up all their used cars 5k. 92k miles, needs to get timing belts/water pump etc done to it. NO credit check? well if your worried about your credit, why not pay 3000 to help your credit out and pay youe debt and not get a car payment at 20%
No!!!!

Good decision, stick with yours! who knows what problems you may encounter. I could see if you wanted to upgrade to a 400 or better....

not worth it. drop one 300 for another 300 thats not significantly different. years are not far apart. mileage is not even far apart.
save your money and go for your mods.....

doesn't seem like a good financial decision to me... but i have no room to talk about cars and good financial decisions... at least for the last year or so i have been good. don't know how much longer i can take it though.
