Question Rear light bulb dash sensor:

My dash light for a rear bulb burn out has stayed on continously for two days! I checked all my rear lights and none seem to be out, even the reverse lights. I'm going to pull out each bulb individually and replace it and see if that helps. It started after I had my 90k service done by my local mechanic. Any thoughts??

If that doesnt work, make sure all of the bulbs are in all the way. The bulbs will light up even if their not pushed in all the way. To check, just push it in with a little force. Hope that helps

Yup. I had someone hit the brakes and everything looked good, I even checked the license plate bulbs just in case. Third brake light is good too, I'm going to take them out and push them all back in when I get home.

Thanks for your tips guys

Welcome fellow Minnesotan, and 2GS owner. I think the problem is in your lights, often the oouter tail lights will burn out leaving the indicator on and the drive will often not notice the light is burn out. I bought the vehicle with both outter rear tailights burned out, didn't notice until i completely pulled the lights out to clean them out... Notice both inner and outer tails will light up, but only the inners will light up upon braking... Does the indicator come on when you step on the brake, or when the lights are turned on..?

Default I think I fixed mine!

Found out my problem, one of my wedge bulbs was a little loose. Another one of bulbs works but looks burnt out - burn marks on bulb itself. Well so far it stayed off, we shall see!! Thanks for your help.

I have the same problem. My light indicator only comes on when I turn on the lights. I've checked everything and can't find the problem.

it seems to only happen when i step on the brake after start up and shift into reverse, but ive checked and the reverse lights both work just fine, but thanks for the ideas, i guess ill go check all the bulbs again for lighting upon braking and shifting into gear.

My lights all lit up, but my bulb was loose in the socket. Look at all your sockets and make sure the bulb clicks in and is snug. Being loose is what tripped my sensor. GoOd luck!! That lil light was soOoOoo annoying!!
