Default Would i be considered a ricer if........

Well guys, as many of you know my car was wrecked about 2 months ago. I have gathered enough spare cash to fix it, In the process my left muffler was damaged. Im thinking of having it repaired and the adding chrome tips to it that stick out about .5 of an inch. would that be rice? I dont want it to make any cheap exhaust noise, just to stand out a little.

I don't think so but I am biased. I put Borla tips on my stock mufflers. I love the look with out the noise.

nah man no rice there, but you did play it safe just by double checking... you get extra cool points for that one.

there should be like a discounted car insurance program for a lack of rice on a car... and the same goes for the opposite... more rice = higher insurance...

I thought you were gonna ask about about putting on a huge spoiler and altezza lights. 0.5 inch is nothing. My Blitz exhaust sticks out like 2 inches. I'm a huge ricer.

I don't think it's rice either but now I'm curious, at what point does it become rice? 3" pipe tips to give a 'boosted' look?

are you guys familiar with vip rice at all...? its like it starts out vip, then add some more vip, then add some more, then before you know it your left with a hundred and one chrome pieces huge quad exhaust pipes sticking 8 inches out the back, car slammed so low you can't drive it, with rims that are so cambered that it looks like they're gonna give out at any second and the car is gonna fall flat on the underbody. neons, and xenons, and strobes oh my... every detail of the car is outlined in chrome and the car bounces as it drives cuz the suspension is so ill. body kits that stick out so wide they look like the bat mobile car and fenders so wide that they hang out into the other lanes of the road well i have seen some and it ain't pretty..

i wonder if at some point they realize hey if i do anymore my car will turn out like vip rice???

I've always believed that show should match the go. Big mufflers and pipes sticking 6 inches out the back of a 600 HP turbo car on coilovers and legit sponsor decals are fine by me. Put them on a 170 HP compact with cut springs and eBay decals and thats rice. A nice conservative but stylish tip can complement any stock or non fully modded car just right.

Just my opinion. Always a fun subject though.
