Default 245/35/20 Rub?

Does anyone with 245/35/20 on their GS rub under the fender when they hit dips?

No it doesnt rub. But it depends alot on the offset of your wheels and width. I was lowered with tein CS but not all the way.. I was runing 20X8.5 +35 It would only rub the splashield when I turned full left backing up.

mine doesn't rub and i agree with benzo555. i am on k-sport coilovers with a 20x9 with +35. it only rubs going over speedbumps/driveway humps. you can hear every individual notch on the tire lol. but i am set on the stiffest setting so it doesn't rub.

Cool, thats very good to know. With your Tien CS did you ever have the front down below 1.8"?

I rub like a ****. My fenders are eating through my tires. I shaved the rear and rolled the fronts too. I only run in the rear drivers side though.

I have 245/35/20 but I needed to shave my fenders. It still rubs though.

ooh.. doest anyone get noise coming from your 20's when driving. Too me it sounds like heavy wind like a "tornado" i guess. Not sure how to describe. I hear that when the 20's are on. When the factories are on, I hear nothing. Is that strange or normal?

What's funny is that I had the exact same wheels and wheels specs and they did rub in front with Falken FK452s. I ended up stretching 225/35/20 up front. Then I sold the setup.

I also ran the 245/35/20 on my old GS with a +36 offset and had zero rubbing issues. I guess having the correct offset is the key.

Aside from offset the sidewall design of the tire is also important..For example its a fact the Falken 452 run big so running a 245 is almost the same as running a 255..

i remember when you had your wheels, it made me worry when i ordered my setup. but i do think that the 452's sidewalls are much different than the dunlop sport maxx' setup. also my suspension is stiff as can be, almost annoying but it is a sacrifice i am willing to take to have the look

That sound you are hearing is most likely just road noise from the tires on your 20's. Some tires are louder then others. Factory tires are usually nice and quite

i don't think you should do the 35 to 30 swap. I just dented one of my 19"s friday and leaked out my tire in the rain without a jack in the car and im runnin 35's in the front. I hit a small pothole goin at like 30-35mph and i missed the hole in the rain........ i think 35 isn't enough meat for NYC already
and it wasn't even a crazy hole...........
