Default Question Guys, need your opinions

Ok, so my girlfriend has been bugging me lately (since I got the rims & system) to drive my car when we go out places. What do you guys do. Do you let your girlfriends or wife's drive your car? What do you tell them? She tells me I'm **** when it comes to my car....I think she's right. I won't let her drive my car in fear that she might wreck it or hit a curb! I think it hurts her feelings...she drives a '01Civic.

Keep the women away from the GS! HAHA, but I don't let my girlfriend drive it because she'll be on the cell phone and she would wrap it around a parked car.

Well if you're married it's a bad idea to say no. You'll pay one way or another.

If it's a girlfriend, depends how serious you are .

Default Wife and the GS

My wife won't even park next to my GS. Not because she's a bad driver...she puts most guys to shame, but because she knows I'll freak if she accidentally whacks the side of it with her door when she's getting the kids out of her grocery getter (RX300). As for driving it she'd get into too much trouble, when it comes to driving fast she has ZERO self-control.

When I was young enough to have a girlfriend my Mustang was stick, so not too many girls could drive stick so it stopped the issue dead in its tracks. HOWEVER, I would've said no, but I might be persuaded...hint hint.

I just put the fear of God in to them. Make her understand that if she screws it up, she pays for it...but she should already understand that.

She probably won't ding the car, but most women seem to like to use the rims as audible curb finders.....let her drive, forbid her to parallel park.

And don't let her use her cell phone while driving.......

a simple 'no'! If she can't respect your property, or not able to understand how you like to protect and take care your personal things, then kick her to the curb, she's got some learning to do.

one of my ex sat on my hood and snapped a picture of herself, thought it was funny, because how much I was in love with my car, well, like i said, "one of my EX... "

Only way she's driving my car is when I'm way too drunk to drive. And then I'll usually let a homie drive my car rather than my gurl.

Hmmm... the only other time someone (a girl) has driven my car is when I was too drunk to drive myself.
But ....I think I would have been better off driving myself...

If you're not used to the power, the car lurches ... not the best when you're a few sheets to the wind...

But I have to agree with bit ...

depends on how serious you are ... I think it's a trust issue with girl/friends ... (assuming she doesnt have dents all over her car )

That's my $0.01

Thanks guys, I think we are all pretty much on the same page here. It's bad enough if we damage our cars but to have the girlfriends or wives do it, hurts even more. Thanks for the suggestions...
