Default My "AWESOME" experience

Havn't really posted much on the site just mostly reading various different things.

We'll last summer I had the oportunity to trade in my 2003 Honda Accord for a 98 GS400. For me this was a dream come true as I've always dreamed of owning a GS ever since the famous "Something wikked this way comes" comercial. So I get everything all set and I go a pick up the car. Well I notice that the ABS light is on and the brake pedal is a little sticky so I ask the dealership to fix it. The glove box was also dameged two months later (Yes TWO MONTHS) I get the car back nice and clean the glove box works and the abs light is gone and the brakes now function. I then notice on the way home that whenever I come to a complete stop the ABS activates no mater what. I then bring the car back to the dealership and they keep it for another month trying to figure it out. I go and pick it BACK up and everything seems ok. A couple weeks later the ABS disapears again and now the E-Shift dosen't work. At this point I am VERY frustrated and say some not so nice things to the dealer, and he suggest I bring it back. I tell him to well you know and bring the car to a local lexus dealership.

We are now at today and I need $4800 in repairs on the lexus because the GENIOUS mechanic by doing his QUICK fixes has 1. wrecked the brakes all of them 2. Almost destroyed my tranny by crossing two wires, 3. totally didn't notice that the power steering pump was Leaking (Something I noticed after being able to keep the car at home for more then a week (Which never happened in a span of 6 months).

I've spoken to the dealership and they always come back with the same things, "well just bring it back to us" and "you did drive away with it saying it was ok".

So lesson learned and hopefully by this friday my Dream car (turned nightmare) will finally be a working car that I can enjoy.

Thanks for letting me vent

On a side not the glove box was fixed with a Nail and a Pop Rivet (that needless to say was the end of me speaking to these idiots)

Holy crap. That's insane. Well, let me tell you from experience, these cars are way more reliable than that, just ****** that owned it before you didn't take care of it, and the mechanics need to get fired. Good luck with it, once everything is fixed, you won't have many problems.

Thanks guys for the warm welcome. I'll post some pix when I get it back, it's such a sexy car and so much fun to knudge the gas and feel the power. This is why I just can't seem to let it go even with a 4800 kick in the face.

Cool part though was the Lexus gave me a IS250AWD as a loaner which has been fun. But I do miss the HP 207 just dosen't do it for me.

I'll keep you guys posted how I'm making out.
