Firewall ticking
Hey folks,
I have had this problem for a while. It sounds as if the venting for the AC is trying to go from fresh to circulate with a clicking sound, although I am not changing the AC settings, and its off.
The AC is off, and no air on.
Sounds like its the firewall, dashboard, vents etc..
The sounds still exists if the engine is off, but power is flowing and tach is lit.
I did notice the black foam insulation, that I saw on a radio DIY picture, has been breaking up and flying out the vent.
The vehicle has no other problems and I am the only owner with 200,000 miles.
I can and have been living with it, but I wish I new what it was.
Thanks for your help,

That ticking must be some heater related draw engine heat, because when I turn the temp to 85, then turned the fan off, it disappeared.
Even after returning the temp to 65, and turned it off it was still gone.
