Cool Headlight protectors

Has anyone install headlight protector from XPEL.com or STONGARD.com on their GS? I am worrying about the usual dulling and hazying of the plastic headlight over time. I had problems with my SC400 lights being cloudy. Lucky the dealer replaced it under warranty. For $60 it seems like a good investment to protect my GS headlights. The XPEL website has a lot of info on self installation. In fact XPEL has a detail installation instruction for the GS headlight which they note has some difficulties in installation due to the curvature of the GS headlights. http://www.xpel.com/installpics.html The STONGARD does not seem to have much in terms of detail installation instructions on their website. Are the products similar? Which product is better and easiest to install? Would appreciate some input of actual experience in installation or usage.

We just had all the headlights in front replaced on the GS under warranty and I ordered the Xpel headlight protection kit yesterday.. My dealership has an outside company that installs the headlight and the body protection kits.. They are only charging me $50 dollars to install the headlight kit so I am going that route..

Wish I had the Xpel done to the whole front end when we got the GS back in Oct '99.. Going into year 3 of ownership the front end needs to be repainted mainly due to winter driving.. Salt and sand is very harsh on the front of the car..

After all that babbling.. Get the Xpel treatment done to at least your headlights and you won't regret it!

Hope that helps!

I know exactly what you mean, I have so many chips on my front bumper from rocks from the road---i really need to get my front end repainted. Once I do, the Xpel is going on.
