Unhappy Door locks.. Help!!

I am having some issues with the door locks. It seems I can't get a common pattern with the alarm and how the doors are supposed to react. I have heard if you press once to unlock, it will only open the driver's side. If you press again quickly, it will open all doors. if you arm the alarm.. it will lock all the doors. This is the extent of what I know about the alarm. Oh and if you have the alarm on and do not use it, or the key to actually open the door. The alarm will go off. It seems my door locks are not in sinck. I can't get apattern of what it's doing and when. So could it be my actuators are going out?? If so, which ones?/ how do I know? I did have the car in the body shop last month and doors were taken off and replaced.. Any help will be greatly appreciated! I have been driving around(and parked) with an unlocked rear driver's side door fo who knows how long!!! Yikes...

Thanks,
Rock.

What do you mean you're not getting a pattern of what's it doing. You mean when you press the remote, you dont know if the doors are locking/unlocking like it should?

And are you saying the rear driver side door's actuator is the only one not working?

Default door locks

What I meant was that each time I press the alarm.. it seems like either the rear door stays unlocked, or the front passanger one stays unlocked. So I can't figuire out what is actually happenning or to know if or which door is not locking... Sorry, I know it's confusing, even for me.. But it seems like I may need a door lock actuator... The rear and or the front passenger .

Sit inside the car, and manually lock all the doors with the button on the driver or passenger side. Then hit the unlock button on the remote (twice) to see how all the doors respond. Any of the door that is still locked probably needs its actuator replaced.

Had the same problem a while back. It was the locking mechanism on the doors. It was stuck or busted. I just shot some wd-40 into the locks and they work fine now. I had to sit in the car to see why they were not locking. After I greased the locks I just toggled the locks back and forth a few times and now no more issues. Good luck.

just fix the actuators, don't replace them. They are like $200 each, and $2 if you fix it. Search the forum for the Actuator DIY.
