Even a 235/30-22 is 2" taller than the stock tires.

The wheels won't rub, but the tires sure will.

You will have issues with the tires rubbing the fender liners
when the wheels are turned.

Rears will be a slam-dunk - in fact, 8.5" +38 will look LOST on
the back of the 2GS.

My beef with 22s on the GS is that most guys don't lower the car.
Weak sauce!

thanks guys...my next question is about 20' wheels on a staggered setup. Will 20x10 fit on my rears and are 20x7.5 too narrow for our cars for the front on a +38 or +35 offset and the rears are +40?

just curious, why would you run a more narrow wheel, than oem spec in front?

+1 I was thinking the same. If you're going to spend that much on those 22", then I recommend buying wheels from someone in the classified section on CL. But then again, it's up to you ultimately. Whatever you like. If you're into that Rapper, DUB kinda stuff, then go for it. Just be careful when you put it on and make sure you do some fender modification before you put those suckers on.
