Hello,

You can either use your stock headlight with a 9006 HID conversion kit or you can purchase a projector headlamp and use it with an HID kit. Have you seen this product:

Also, little pieces of glass from the bulb are now inside my headlight. Is my new bulb also going to burst? Maybe something is causing it to burst?
don't touch it

Hi Steve, they look nice. Are they direct replacements with the OEMs? Special price for members here?

Thanks.

They are a direct replacement for the OEMS. I can definitely work something out for you. Please send me a PM and we can discuss =)

Are you guys in favor of these units with HID kits. I was not satisfied with the beam pattern with HIDs. To much flare off to the right, and too many hot spots.

Overall 100x better then HID kit in the OEM halogen assembly, but not as nice as the LS430 retrofit.

By the last picture, looks like the lamps are projectors... are they not? You mean they are hybrid projector/halogen lamp and you installed HIDs?

No these are 100% projectors. However these projectors are made for halogen bulbs.

HID projectors generally have decreased light output in exchange for more even and focused light output. This is okay because the bulb is so much brighter then halogen bulbs. Then net effect is a much wider, even, and brighter light pattern.

Halogen projectors don't use as bright a bulb, so they generally have increased light output. The output however is not as even.

The projectors pictured above have the e-code shields which create a beam that flares up and to the right. This helps illuminate signs and the side of the road. With halogen bulb not a big deal, but it does produce some glare with the HID bulb.

LS430 Projectors (Not my pics)
