Engine light is lit all times---question

I may be buying a GS 300,2001 it seems in very good conditions,but the engine light is lit all the time. The car runs smoothly.
I saw a report from 18 months ago where it said is some kind of (fuel?) sensor 2?
Does someone knows what is it about?

We need to know What the "Check Engine Light" code # is to give a better idea why it is on.
