Help with specs on some 19"s
For those of you who cut their fenders do you have any issues with rusting? I live in illinois so we do get exposed to snow/salt. Im afraid that when I cut the metal and expose it, if it is not properly sealed off that ill get into some rust issues.
You can get a spray can of primer sealer and undercoating at your local bodyshop supply store. Very easy to use and will be well protected from the elements.
19 x 9, +30
19 x 10.5, +29
The sizes I posted above require fender modding and a stretched tire. I dont mind the stretched part, but if lets say I was to not mod my fender at all and still want to run a wheel close to this size what offset of what width would I have to get..thanks for the help guys, sorry if I get annoying with all the questions.

^what do you mean by modified? Cutting or pulling of the quarters?
The wheels I like and found offer the following sizes
19 x 8.5 offset 22
19 x 10.5 offset 22
how will this fit? flush? stick out? tucked in?

The other specs is a little more difficult to fit in the rear, but fronts will look the same as the other specs.
ok I found another set im considering buying here are the specs
19 x 8.5 +35 245/35/19
19 x 9.5 +45 275/30/19
how will this fit and look? thanks for the help again. Oh an im finally understanding offsets now

I love how guys are so afraid of modifying their cars.
They see cool looking cars like V8_Aristo's and want to
emulate that look... without doing any of the work.
The extra mile these guys go are the reason
the cars look so good. It's very common in Europe
and Japan to and stretch fenders to get the "flush"
look; the cars are usually built around the wheels.
Here in the USA everybody wants the look with "no mods."
Impossible! It just doesn't work.
Chop the rear fenders after removing the arch trim
(I did my fenders with an air saw), treat the exposed
metal with rust inhibitor and a little touch-up paint. Done.
Front fenders are easy to pull and remove the
fender arch trim, easily can gain 1/4" additional
clearance.
Heck, I'm moving my new wheels out an additional
6mm further than they are now. Nice...
Also, a 2" drop equates to about -2.3° camber front & rear
with the OE camber adjusters maxed-out as positive as possible.
At this point or lower the alignment gets pretty hard on the tires.
I get less than 10K out of a set with careful "flipping" and rotation.
