Default Test drove my first gs4 today!

well i have been looking at several gs4's to buy. I went and drove one today that had 172000 miles on it and all I can say is WOW!! It rode so smooth and shifted awesome.. They have alot of power!! It had the navi system in it which I really liked, but the oner told me you couldnt update it like dvd ones can be. That kind of sucks. Makes me think that maybe I shouldnt even bother with it and just buy an aftermarket one. What do you all think? and is there a way to update it? I heard you could upto 2004, but that isnt any good either.

for an older gs, i'd go with the stock nakamichi system, then when u feel its time to unpgrade go with a double din HU with navi and whatever, not worth the premium to pay for an outdated navi w/o the chance of being able to be upgraded

yeah, it ups to 2004... mine got it... but totally useless to me as I live in Canada and when I receive the car here (bought from USA) it does not support Canada, which I think is stupid since if US residents decide to travel out of county into Canada, the last thing they need is the reliable navi to not work.... I regret on buying my 98 GS4. (car's in the shop basically ever since I got it... and who knows for how much longer and I need to contact Japan to find out if I can send my part to fix there, but I don't speak Japanese and nobody ever replies my Emails, NOBODY!)

That's a big surprise to me! What is it usually in the shop for?

also what i have noticed from other cars i have put aftermarket head units in it really doesnt sound as good with the factory speakers. I really liked the sound of the nak stereo and dont want to install whole new stereo.

I test drove one before I got the GS3. I chose the GS3 for the fact I didn't like having to pull my ***** back through my can to get them back into the front dangling spot again. Wow, but whaatta feeling.

OK OK, for those who didn't buy that, I really didn't have another $2k to spend.
