(1) HIDs were not standard until 2001. Most 400s have them, but they were optional.

(2) I've heard that brake assist was added in 2000, but I'm not sure what it is or how it is different than the 98-99 brakes.

(3) In 2000 there was a platinum edition available that included several differences to distinguish it from the regular models.

(4) In 2000, there were some color changes. Millennium silver metallic replaced alpine silver metallic, and crystal white replaced diamond white pearl.

(5) Daytime running lights were definitely not on the car in 98 and were added sometime in 99. There are a few 99s roaming around out there without daytime running lights.
