Default I think I found it

Hey Guys i think I found one 1998 Lexus GS 400 181k miles black/black leather for $7,500 maybe he goes lower gotta try to, owner has all the maintenance done belts and water pump and all things you guys mentioned, he has all the records, car seems really clean from the pictures plus you can tell way owner spoke about the car he did really took good care of it, my only concern is of course high very high miles but he said I wouldn't regret taking time and driving 50 miles to test drive it becouse it's in great condition, here is some pictures, so what you guys say out of all those cars above which should I go with?

that was my first reaction, right away, but nope it's just bad picture, I talked to owner about it he said never been in accident plus gave me vin number to check never been replaced and he said in real time you cant see color difference it's just flash of the camera, he doest seem that kinda guy that would be out of his pocket for accident and not to report it, if he did it would come out on carfax don't you think?

i've heard of instances where a car has been in an accident but never filed via carfax. and with that much mileage, it's probably due for another timing belt (wasn't it ever 80-90k miles?). but after that, if regular maintenance is done, should run like a champ

and 50 miles is nothing, I drove 2hrs one way to find my GS. Also, if you know someone that owns a GS, I'd ask him/her to come along.

Just follow your heart. I had a budget, I knew I wanted a black exterior, preferred black interior, and it HAD to be a GS4x0.

Just put that into cars.com or something and see what you find. I'm sure you have but look at this link. Dunno where in Philadelphia (<--i could never spell that) you are but I entered zip code 19107 and set search for a radius of 150miles. There are always deals out there, the key is being patient.

good luck!

Default I bough it

I bought that black 98 GS400 with 181k miles I went today and check this car entirely owner showed me all the records it's been maintained really well, plus it has IS250 19" or 18" not sure wheels brand new all season tires, also original stock wheels and tires with barely used real expensive snow tires. So once I drove it I knew it was meant to be mine man Lexus GS is the best vehicle I ever drove I had BMW X5 but driving experience on GS was just amazing i couldn't resist I tried to leave without buying so I could try to bargain better but I said if you give to me for $7000 I'll take it he thought about before we got to his house after while sadly agreed to give it up, really nice decent man, real good family. I just loved this car from first minute , it is really clean not even a scratch on it, leather is like new, anyways I couldn't take it today because my friends all busy , busy watching football good friends anyways I already paid him $7,000 got tittle and I'm gonna start driving finally the real car GS baby its the best.

Congrats! I think you made a pretty good choice. The GS is such a great little secret. There's no other car that you can get that offers what the GS does for $7-10K! I love these cars!
