GS - 2nd Gen (1998-2005) Discussion about the second generation GS300, GS400 and GS430 (1998 - 2005)

I wonder how many of us had to pay for this one?

This is an OLD TSIB. We were changing yaw rate sensors only. Go to your local Lexus dealer and they can do a national search to see if your car had it done already.

Does anybody know if what I had fixed is part of the recall? I dont think so but Im not a mechanic
No not the same....The tps sensor costs about $80, I replaced mine...no warranty. The dealer wanted me to buy the whole throttle body assembly (700 or so), I was able to find just the sensor at carson toyota. The yaw rate sensor (totally different part) is a manufactor's defect, and will be replaced regardles if the warranty is up or not. I have a 1998 and had mine replaced for free at 120,000 miles (about 6 months ago). They also put in a new ecm for free which also came up on their tsb. The ecm had nothing to do with either of these though. I think the recall bill for the ecm was about $2500, I payed 0

The ECU is from a separate TSIB. That one addressed the hesitation. It made it better but did not fix it all together.
