I recently won a rear GS bumper on Ebay for $51.00. so I e-mail the guy and he says it is $120 to ship it to CT from California. That would make a total of $170. So I use UPS alot for work and I checked the price that it would cost saying that the bumper weighs 30lbs and I got a price of $30 to ship it. What should I do???????

 

My recommendation...

tell the seller to go screw himself....why do you need a new bumper anyway?

 

Well, my bumper is a little tapped up in the back from screws of other people front license plate frames and one day in NYC some guy parked too close on a hot day and his screws made a deep imprint in the bumper ( I was soooooo pissed). Anyways I got 2 dealer estimates of $600 and my buddy could easily paint this maroon one black for me cuz I already have black gs paint from when he sprayed my spoiler.

dude, I would shop around...I had both my bumpers filled in and the whole nose painted, RMM Grill painted and installed, Lsportsline rear window spoiler painted and installed, and GREDDY lip painted and installed for $1000.

That should cost you about 200 to 250 to fill in bumper and get painted.

Shop around, shop around, shop around!

How much is a greddy front lip to buy new???

 

I paid like $185 + paint / installation costs mentioned before. I think its a great mod and add a great look to the front of the car. Do the LIP and the RMM grill and I think front end looks totally different!

Do you notice the blue wedges in pic below?

 

GS4FUN, How often do you have your car washed and waxed?

Will the body start to corrode or rust if i wash my car every sunday? I use the turtle wax zip wax car wash.

It seems like every five minutes.

I have car hand washed every week (You dont think I'm cleaning it do you?)

I also have the car hand waxed at least every two weeks and sometimes even more than that (Depends on weather and whether I'm picking up the girlies or not...and trips to NYC)

I have a VIP card from the carwash and know the 14 to 15 guys that work there by name...its sick I know.

Lets just say that the guy who waxes my car gets a $20 tip every time he does it...so I'm always very welcome. Its $50 every two weeks for the hand wax. $10 per week for the wash.

I could buy a new lex on my wash payments...

I pamper myself as much as I do my car....NOT!

I dont think you can wash your car ever too much...my car is in pristine condition...

 

WOW, I thought that i was washing my car too much How come you wax it so often? Is it that polluted in jersey. I wash my car by hand every week but I will wax it here in another month.

 

Dont forget the packaging. Still the markup seems high.

niiice... i also wash my blk/blk gs every week and wax it every 3 weeks(with at least 2 coats each time)...i used to go to car wash(all hand) when one of my buddies was the mgr there...now i go to those self-serve place with high-pressure hose..

i too do not think you can wash too often on your car...i think the dirt and grime is even worse...

 

the worst is washing your car when its about 2 degrees over freezing

unfortunatly the car has to see machine washes in the winters

 

Well, yes there's pollution but the real reason I wax and wash so often is I cannot stand any speck of dust and that unclean look!

I love the freshly waxed look...its make me feel great..when my car is dirty, I dont feel so good.....I know it sound weird...but I'm sure some of you guys know what I'm talking about.

 

I know exactly what you are talking about, when i see my car dirty i feel bad and it is another part of me. You spend all that money on it you mine as well keep it clean all the time, it is a lexus and it should be kept clean and presentable at all times.
