so i picked up a 2nd set of g35 wheels fri for cheap.....with two almost brand new michelin pilot ps2 tires (tires cost more than i paid for the rims) anyways the issue im thinking is they are 245/40/19 and are mounted on the front 19x8's should i move them to the rears 19x8.5? would i have any issue with them rubbing if i mounted them in the front OR if i mounted them in the rear?

my plan was to go 235/35/19 all the way around (so i can do a true tire rotation) but i dont wanna dump these tires either as they have less than 5k on them and are over $300 each

I originally had 245/40 RE050A on the fronts and had rubbing issues when I tried to turn and go over small bumps so I had to move them to the back. Picked up some 235/35 Pilot PS2 for the fronts and they dont rub at all. I am also dropped on DF210/KYB-GR2.

Hope that helps.

thanks vlad, so should i switch the 245/40's to the rear tires and run the 235/35/19 up front?

I got a set of all g35 rear's, and im going 255/35/19 so I still have a decent chance at surviving a pothole hit. And so the sidewall will somewhat give me a warning to curb rash. If u look around on the road at least 90% of g35's rims I've seen are covered in nasty rash.
i dont stretch anything....no intention of it. wont be slammed....lowered but not slammed

TY...... As i said my intention was 235/35/19 all the way around but this new set of rims is gonna cause me to not do this i think. i think the other set of tires, im gonna do michelin pilot as plus's which are ALMOST the same tire just last a bit longer than the PS2's

Throw the 245's on the 19X8.5 in the rear and call it a day. With the offset of G35 rims your not guna run into any rubbing problems depending on how low your going. What are you running for suspension?

Brian, Im sorry, but I actually gave you the wrong sizes. I just checked my tires, and I currently have a 235/35 front and 235/40 rear. The 235/40 were originally on my fronts, but because they rubbed, I moved them to the back and switched to a 235/35 for the fronts. That got rid of my rubbing issues.

Now, the OLD set I had on the rears was a 245/40 (thats where I got that number from in my original post). Im pretty sure you can go 235/35 all the way around lol.

It's cool, im gonna move the 245/40 to the 8.5 and run the staggered setup till i start eating up tires.....then i will decide what im gonna do

Did you ever get an answer to this? The confusion lies in the fact that some posts state that for the g35 wheels the hub bore is 66.01 and for our cars is 60.01, yet 1010tires.com doenst have 66.01/60.01 they have 66.06/60.06
