Default Rice or Tight?

I talked to a company that could produce a translucent cast film for our cars. Someone had this idea a few days ago and man I thought why not?
I thought we could match our paint color to the cast film as close as possible and you lay down this film on our inner taillights. So when you brake, presto, no problem light is there, or when the lights are on same as stock.
But when you're rolling during the day lights are gone.
So, is this too over the top or could we have a sweet idea here? If people are interested let me know. I have a call with the cast film guru tomorrow about how close we can get to exact color matches.

i personally don't like that look. I think the headlights, tail lights add to the overall look of the car. I dont think of it as rice though, more along the lines of loweriderish though.

I did that long time ago.

I sprayed the inner taillights with translucent silver paint designed for taillights. It looks silver when I dont' brake, and when I do it lights up perfectly.

Turned out I don't like it. The rear looks too fat.

Here's a pic from long time ago. Noticed it's not lowered and no exhaust

Globe, you're right. But what about that paint on the sidemarkers? I think I would like that.

Well I did that too!

and it looks nice so I still have it.

matching bodycolor looks better than those clear ones they sell now. I think I'll keep these rather than getting those clear ones.

I'd be interested in it for the sidemarkers (only) - but I'm not so sure how it would work for black...

Is this stuff a film or a paint?

The film I got a my local Japanese car parts store (check out www.autofreak.net). It was pretty expensive, like 20 bucks for a very small bottle.

It had silver (I think 2 kinds, mine was lighter), smoke, blue, red, yellow, and maybe some other colors like green.

thanks for the compliment. Do I get DIY king title again
