Hey Guys,What's the right way to check the ATF Fluid level on a 99' GS4?With the engine ON or OFF??? Or someone please give me the repair manual procedures,THANKS.

Drive around for about 10 minutes and then park your car while the engine is running. Check the fluid at the HOT level. Fill accordingly.

^yup. maybe even longer than 10 minutes for it to get nice and hot.

Thanks guys,one more ? How many Quarts(ATF) do i need to change out the old fluids?I just came back from toyota dealer with 5 Quarts of ATF(That all they had for now),How many drain and Fill do i have to do? Thanks again.

a drain and refill takes about 2 and 1/8 quarts for me. make sure you use toyota type 4 fluid.

most importantly, make sure your car is parked at level grounds when checking your fluid level...may sound basic but important.

3 qts should be good enough.. make sure not to overfill it because some costly repairs might just pop up.. so make sure.. good luck!
