New to the forums!
Hi guys im new the lexus forums and new to the lexus family. But today i just bought my 1st lexus, its a 1999 silver Gs 400( hope to put pics up soon) and when i drove it for the 1st 30 min I couldnt stop shaking, the excitment and rush and sound of the v8 is just
. Its a big upg. for me my last car was a 96 civic with 1.6L and this is my 2nd car the 4.0L jump really gets ur heart going. The car is beatifull, i love everything about it even the small scratches on the tail lights. Just wanted to say hi to everyone and hope i can learn alot from you guys! And i got 2 quick questions... The car doesnt have an instruction manual so im getting confused with the nav and the cd player.
1st.Q: I put in a cd in the cd changer and i click audio on the console and the cd loads then the number 1 cd square blinks green, i touch the green box and nothing happens? its not a big deal but i just cant always hear the engine roaring at 5k rpm ( wasted about 30$ worth of gas in the 1st 2 hours of owning the car) so i was wondering if anyone could diagnose the problem.
2nd.Q: The Nav on the car i think is great, except i cant figure out how to change the home button to my street adress, how do i change the adress to my house because it set for the previous owners house.
Well i would greatly appreacite any answers and Hi again!
ps. the gs400 with pwr mode on and vsc off, while taking a turn at around 50 mph is the most addictive thing in the world( only tried it once, got scared when the car started to go all forza drift on me)

Welcome to CL! I don't have NAV in my GS so I can't offer instructions but you could go to lexus.com/owners, register there and search around. They used to offer year specific manuals online and free copies mailed to you. Not sure if that service is still available there.
Welcome to CL. On the CD make sure you are loading in the right direction. The label actually faces down when you put it in the magazine. I spent my whole first trip home in the car listening to bad radio stations, I thought the CD player was broken. I just loaded te discs label side up. I will have to look up how to change the home button, I changed it two years ago and have not touched it since.
