Arrow Help me out guys

My first post on the GS forum!

Here is my dilemma...

Currently have a 2007 550i and a 1992 SC400.

Ive dumped about $8k into the SC400 and love the car to absolute death. I planned to drive it till the wheels fell off, but im thinking of another strategy. Next year when my 550i lease is up, i was thinking of going 2 door for the garage queen (911tt ) and 4 door for the daily driver.

So, my questions are as follows:

1) is the GS400 as reliable as the titan of reliability (SC400)?
2) is there any site that outlines the differences between years?

I read the thread on common problems and am a little worried, as the SC is gettig to be about 16 years old and *EVERYTHING* works and nothing has been replaced (other than normal wear and tear)

Abe

*Edit, did some more searching, seems starter and door actuators are main problems. still looking for a site like what we have on the SC side that outlines every detail of difference between model years. anything?

Well I'm sure if you search you'll see that our headlamps tend to fog pretty easily (or at least from what I've seen). Annoying click from brakes when changing from reverse to drive or vice-versa. Other than that not too many common problems. I've at 106k miles and bought at 39. My GS has been the most reliable vehicle I've EVER driven. Coming from a bimmer though you might want to stiffen the suspension a tad. The sunroof can get a little annoying with little bumps but it can be fixed.

I would try to get a 99 or 00 GS400.. I think the 98's has some issues as itwas the first year the 2nd Gen was produced.. or try your luck with a 01+ 430..
