Default LED Tails.....HELP!!

Hey guyz! I just purchased the LED Tails (JP style) from ebay....and the left side...the LED's on the outer edge does not light up. The rest of the led's light up except for the LED's that run straight down. Does anybody have/had this problem?

did you try reversing the plug that connects to the portion thats not lighting up? Take the connector out, and flip it around and plug it back in. That worked for mine. I think they are polarized.

Sounds like time for a return.

Let us know who you ordered from and if they take care of you in the end.

That's usually true for any online order, but a "good" seller will pay for the shipping back to you. I think a 50/50 split is fair.

If there is a problem with LED reliability, we NEED to know which tails you got so that we can keep an eye on this.

It will not be easy to tell how far this problem goes or how many other tails could be affected.

Your feedback would help.

From the technical side, we will probably never find out if the defect is in the wiring or a bad LED. This makes it difficult to say whether there are other bad LEDs out there or just a single bad wire crip, assembly error, etc.

yes..i'll definitely let everybody know what's going on. I bought it from "racinghorse". Apparently, some CL members bought from the same person but had no problems. That's why I purchased it in the first place. It really sux when I've been waiting for them to arrive....installed the right side...got completely excited....and to find out the left one had problems.
