sup! just wondering if something is wrong with my car, but when i drive i feel a lot of heat coming from my steering wheel and it uncomfortable. anyways, my question is, is this normal or is there something wrong with my car??
Uhhhh, do you have the wooden trim wheel or the all leather? If so, they both have the ability to retain heat. So you're probably just feeling your own body heat.
Ohhh. You meant the steering column, not the actual steering wheel. Let's see. It could be a number of things. Maybe the telescoping/power tilting wheel mechanism went bad and is overheating for some unknown, awkward reason. Then again, it could be heat leaking into the cabin from the exhaust system. Just make sure it's not a glowing, red hot exhaust manifold. That is a bad thing. Maybe it's because your air conditioning system? The air vent might be pointing at your leg. It could also be the ignition switch too. Maybe the transmission is overheating?! Bad bad. I'm not trying to scare you into thinking that your car is jacked up, but maybe it really is? Just take your time and make sure that it's nothing too serious.
