i'll post a pic up tomorrow so you can see for yourself
Not a bad idea, that way the rim can always remind you of your choice. I wish you the best in the purchase of the house. There's nothing like being able to call a place your own and mod it in your style.

Wow B. Consider yourself lucky. I don't want you to end up like our old fellow member beerguy. Drinking and driving don't mix. Good luck on the repair

C'mon Bro, drinkin' and drivin'? I received a DUI for blowing a mere .08 and I'm actually happy they pulled me over. Just imagine if for some odd reason that a small child hopped out in front of your car. Guess what? Even though it wasn't your fault that a child ran out into the street, you would have attained a DUI manslaughter charge just for being buzzed while you were driving. It's not worth it whether it's 5 blocks or 5 miles. On a seperate note, happy to hear that you're ok. You can always fix or replace a wheel

Yea. Its funny this thread came up. I went to Highlands in Hollywood for a friends event this past Saturday night. On the way back home on I-10 West, around 3:30AM, my friend(who was sober and DD) was driving his PT Cruiser w/ my other buddy driving a Trailblazer right behind us. We were driving in the 2nd right lane, around 70 mph. All of a sudden, an older model RX300 comes smashing from behind, cuts in front of us and, in an attempt to cross back over into the middle lane, side sweeps an older model Honda Accord. And mind you, the RX didnt passively change lanes into the Accord. The RX driving around 90, clipped the Accord with such force that both cars almost flipped. This happened about 40-50 ft in front of us, in the middle of the freeway. All cars behind almost stopped. The RX boned out right after and exited. He was obviously drunk. The poor guy or girl in the Accord was so stunned that he/she just regained control of his/her car, then after realizing what happened, attempted to follow the RX. Both cars exited in an exit or two.

Talk about a real sobering moment. I was drunk at the time, and sobered up in an instant. On a side note, some1 obviously called CHP immediately. In about 1 minute, we see a trooper swoop out with yellow warning lights on. He didnt find any1, since both cars exited. My exit was in another couple miles and we didnt see any of the cars involved pull over or the CHP officer.

I really hope that RX got caught, that Accord person almost died that night.

Never drink and drive. I knew a guy when I worked at Rutledge State who is serving 10 cause he killed someone driving drunk. He was a college grad had wife and kids and making good money. Never been in trouble. He told me that one decision to drink and drive ruined his life and the person he killed. I really felt for the guy. That sucks soooo bad . Next time walk and get wet its just not worth it.

Yes, post some pix and we can help you find a way to fix it.

I fixed curb rash on my chrome wheel and now you need to get as close as 3 ft in order to see it.

Damn man. Definitly always have a designated driver. Infact dont even TAKE your car if you plan to get drunk. Just try to get it repaired. Theyll prob. have to resurface and redip the chrome. Your rims are fullfaced so itll be difficult.

Good luck with the home purchase by the way. I feel your pain........

I feel for you bro, I had the same thing happen to me after leaving a club one night and hitting the curb getting money at a drive through ATM. I have since stopped all that D&D nonsense when I saw my friend fly off the side of an entrance to an overpass ramp who I was following one night. His passenger was killed and he was paralyzed from the neck down and is now embroiled in a losing legal battle. I realized that could just as easily have been me. Trust me, I know what it sounds like when someone chastises you about drinking and driving before something devastating happens. You shrug it off as if it couldn't happen to you. You DEFINITELY change your attitude when it hits close to home. If for no one else but yourself, make that commitment to never drink & drive again. I truly despise cliches, but this one seems hella appropriate: The life you save may be your own.
