Default Do not want 17" tires

Call me crazy, but I just bought a 98 GS400 that had Yokohama AVID H4 - 235/45R17 tires installed on the original 17" Lexus wheels.
I do not want the low-profile tires, and would like to trade with 16" wheels and 16" tires.
I was wondering if any of you guys would be interested in swapping
I am in Plano Texas.

Check your PM.
I'm getting a new set of 18'' wheel on Jan 2002 and I'm currently running on 16'' now. I can do the swapping with you if you're still interesting.
I'm in Dallas too.

John

I'm also interested, check your pm, I have 16" wheels on 2001 GS430, Dunlop tires w/7500 miles on them. These are the factory 6-spoke wheels.

This is actually the first time I've seen someone would rather have 16' than 17'.

Well, I changed my 16's for 17's and sometimes I still think about switching back. Only because the ride on the 16 is so much smoother. The 17's is definetly better for handling and looks good...but damn I hate worrying about bending my wheels everytime I drive (stupid pot holes and such). Never seen a bent wheel until I got the 17's and on top of that I didn't even do it (got them used) and replacing just one is not cheap...$200. Nice thing is I still have my 16's and might swap them out later if I bend any of my 17's.

So beware of 17's and up, I would put them on a balance machine first to see how them rotate.

I would also be interested in the swap. Let me up the ante though. I have 16 inch chrome factory wheels on my 98 GS400. Let me know if you are interested.

Just to give you guys a peace of mind, I just got the tires balanced at the Dealer in Plano on Monday, The wheels are in perfect shape and the tires have only 3500 miles on them. I have the work order if you want to have a copy. You are also welcome to re-check them again, because I am planning on doing the same thing before I swap.
