I like the comptetition and the phantom in carbon and aluminum. I also like the tall zebrano in wood and black leather. Does anyone know if that wood matches the wood in the gs?? Does anywhere in LA have these in stock, so that I can look at them?

thanks,
Zach

Check the picture I posted. In the picture it looks just about identical to the Lexus wood, but in person it looks a bit darker 'browner' somehow. But it's so close I'm very happy.

It does look very good and is a very close match! I wish I could check some of these out in LA. Surely, there has to be a place with stock in LA, right? Does anyone know of a car tuning place in the LA area?

thanks,
Zach

Well, I really wanted a short shifter, and something sporty looking (car has very little wood anyway, and didn't want a mismatch), so I ordered the chrome sphere model (matches the chrome stem and door latches). This **** is shown on a GS400 in the autotoys.com website somebody posted here earlier (in black), so I know EXACTLY how is going to fit and look. These guys modified the adapter to make it sit lower. The problem is that I don't know if other models have the depth to adapt them the same way. The one I liked the most was the cobra in wood, but neither the aluminum is going to match the chrome, nor the briarwood the stock wood, so I decided the chrome one was the best bet. I ordered from Imotorgear, but didn't like the service too much: website didn't say if backordered, and haven't heard from them in days; the autotoys place has it at the same price.
Now I just need the surround plastic (the one with P-R-N-D,etc) chromed; where the hell can I buy one, or get it "plastic- chromed"?

Thanks guys.

Oh, and whoever wanted my stock shifter (brand new condition), I might consider selling it for the right price. E-mail me with an offer.

If your offer is in reply to nanotech, then he said he wanted a beige leather one and yours, like mine, is gray.

Mine is beige (it's more like taupe, really). I forgot to include my e-mail: JuanCCos@msn.com . I just have to wait for the new one, which could take 2 or 3 weeks.
