Default Great post!

My **** is like new, but what the hell, after seeing the momos, I'm replacing mine with an aluminum/wood one, if the wood tone is close to stock and the **** is not taller than stock (hopefully a little lower). That's if the only store in town which carries them has them in stock; no blind purchases anymore.
See ya guys!

Steve,

is the **** shown the new TRD **** for AT cars or the one that Martin Kraft has? I've heard that the older TRD ***** (the one Martin Kraft has) is assymetrical and is actually more egronomic for RHD vehicles..... is it the same with this one?

thanks!

How are pit crew's prices?

I will be getting a MOMO **** in the future too. I find online stores cheaper than any retail stores, but if PitCrew is good I'll go there.

if your **** is like new and if its beige (not gray or black)....then would you sell it to me?

my **** is wearing out a little bit on the sides, its small enough to where it doesn't make me spend a hundred, but its big enough to where it would make me atleast look for one that's used but in new condition....what year is your GS and is your leather not rubbing off?

www.imotorgear.com had the best MOMO shifter prices I could find.

Here's the shifter I put on... (it sits a bit lower than stock and is SO much more comfortable in hand - perfectly smooth)...

Bit,

thanks for the info.

Globe,

pit crew's prices are comparible(sp?) to the 3 sites that you listed. but imotorgear has the best prices as bit mentioned.
which model do you like? what do you think of the followings:

phantom, cobra, f-16, and shadow? i am looking for either wood, or CF finish

Nanotech: my shifter has the taupe leather (ivory interior), and it's better than new since I saturated the leather with conditioner since day 1; zero wear, as I don't touch it other than to shift (98 with 12K miles, always garaged).
I wasn't thinking of selling it, but make me an offer and I'll think about it. But hey, you could buy a momo less, so why spend more?

Bitkauna, what exact model do you have? How does the wood match the car's?

I'm with William; there are a ton of models I like, but I don't know which ones would fit the GS. I personally want an aluminum and wood to break the black pattern, but also want the aluminum to look like chrome in order to match the stem of the shifter.
I liked the sphere wood and chrome, race aluminum, aluminum sport, f16 wood, cobra briar wood and competizione. I definitely want something shorter and more comfortable than stock. The sphere looked a bit big on a website listed earlier, but fit was good. There are some with very big holes on the covers to fit thicker shifters. I'm going to a local store on Monday and see what they have.

Hey, how the hell do you remove the shifter? I know it's threaded, but it feels like the shifter is going to break before giving up. Should I apply gradual pressure until it gives, or a sudden forceful jank to the left?

Thanks guys

Will,

I know ImotorGear has the pretty good prices, but their website was dead for me so I didn't list it for ya

OH HEY it's working now!

I think F16 is the best of the 4. MOMO F16 Style with Aluminum / Carbon is Pretty nice~!

My guess is they will ALL fit due to the way they're made and how they adjust (it's very cool). First you might try taking off your existing **** to see how it goes on (trivial, just rotate counterclockwise and unscrew it - it's a LONG thread). The Momo ***** are held in place with 3 little hidden hex screws at the bottom (covered by a screw on slip ring you put on the shifter rod first).

Now a WARNING - I got the wood **** because a) I like the look, but MUCH more importantly, it was clear to me the cool looking aluminum ones for example would give me third degree burns on my hand in summer, and frost bite in winter! No thanks.

I have the 'short zebrano' wood model. I think I would have preferred the long one (my hand sometimes touches the metal lower slip ring on the one I've got), but I wasn't sure if it would have fit (it would have, I'm pretty sure).
