I only use the premium gas in my car with no problems. Not sure if its necessary but I really dont mind spending the extra bit of $

Well i use regular in the ES and premium in the GS400... Since you have a V6 regular should be fine and maybe every other month slip in some premuim to clean out deposits and so forth.. There should be tons of info on this subject in the 2nd gen section..

93 octane for me. Here and there I'll put 94 octane from Sunoco.

I think all Lexus' need premium 91 or up. I always put it in and dont mind paying the extra .20 cents.

If you look at the calculation at .20 cents extra a gallon of 93 versus less octane times 15 gallons(maybe even less) to fill up equals to $3.00 extra. Thats like buying lunch at Mcdonalds actually its less. I think if peple would really look at it that way, they would not think so much about putting higher octane not unless their vehicle does not require it. just my 2 cents.(no pun intended)

one time regular got in to my car, guy who work at gas station accidentally pressed regular, i usually don’t look at display and this time I see its sad regular. I told him, about half of tank was with regular and other with premium, couple days later I got check engine, stopped at auto shop, and they had to clean my tank or something. But yea I always use premium

Usually if you put anything lower then the required octane, your car will run rough.
