I have a 2003 gs and its missing that little chrome piece that is around the shifter, I called up lexus to see if I can purchase that piece but it turns out it doesnt come seperetaly , it will run me $349 which is ridiculous ....any advise?

That chrome piece comes only in 2001+ GS (gs400 are <2000)

So what is in place of the chrome piece? A black rubber piece?

 

Idont care Iwould take a blk rubber piece , i need to put something there

check junkyards man... try searching up brandywine junkyard in maryland i kno its far but hey they had a cpl gs's when i was there

 

i have nuthin instead of that piece its just an opening

 

Hey you can check E-BAY 2 for this item I think it runs like $80.00 plus shipping

 

The one on Ebay is junk. The fit is absolutely terrible. Also, it is an overlay piece that would need something to stick it onto.

 

so no other advise?

 

Check out this website http://car-part.com to search for used parts, I would look under interior when searching for the part and call them(junkyard that has the part) up.

 

I saw one not to long ago in the classifieds... OR check ebay for center console pieces instead of the knock off ebay one.. GL..
