Default TPS issue resolves itself?

HI Im not sure if others experience this, but I have the TPS issue on my 00 GS400. However I figured out a way of "fixing" it or sometimes it fixes itself after parking it somewhere.

Here is the DIY fix:
When I get the check engine light and the vsc/vsc off lights, and theres horrible throttle response, and the tranny shifts really hard when you put it in gear. All I do is shut off the car, arm the alarm, wait about 20 seconds then restart the car. 99% of the time this will resolve the issue. I mean the lights will still be on but the throttle response will be back to normal. The 1 % it doesnt.. i just have to drive the car for about 10-20 meters and do the power off/on. Then it will work again.

Here is the Self Fix:
After parking it for a few minutes, sometimes it will be back to normal. No lights, normal throttle response. The other times the lights will remain on but the Throttle response is ok. It depends on the angle i park the car if its an incline, decline, side, etc.

MY question is,..... will this eventually get worse? or is this as bad as it gets?.. I dont mind doing the self fix once in a while.. it doesnt really bother me.. =) Oh and I have had this problem since last year.. and it went away for a good couple of months.. and now its back.

Thanks

I'm not sure about this, but it would suck if it happens again, dead at an intersection
I had that happened and fortunately, there were no cars around.
Quickly hit in N and restart.

Haven't had a problem since then
If the code comes up, be on the safe side and just fix it.

It sounds like you have a bad TPS sensor. Get the exact DTC its throwing out. Check voltage levels for the TP sensor, and compare them to specs. If its below specs, you know its a bad sensor.

If that problem has been happening for a year, I doubt it's going to fix itself. IF anything, it'll get worst. I would suggest you just get the problem fix, and save yourself the time of "alarming/disarming" everytime your vehicle does that.
