How about using rocks and good quality lumber?

You know using a long 4x4 fence post as the lever and some good rocks or bricks as the fulcrum.
Then have a buddy pile rocks under the car as it is lifted high in the air.

On my 2002 GS430 there is a lip at the back of this jack point that I try to get my jack to catch in front of. Since my jacks saddle is larger then the jacking point it sits on the front edge of the jack's saddle instead of completely in it. I'm afraid that it might shift as I jack the car up. Does anyone know if that lip should be in the jack's saddle(would it bend?) or should the saddle catch in front of it?

In the picture the lip I'm referring to is on the right side of the circle partially hiding a bolt. It seems like it comes down farther on my car or maybe it was bent upward in Gsteg's car by the jack

Mine was bent by my previous jack that didn't have the rubber saddle. You can put the jack in front of the lip, but like you said, the jack doesn't really catch all of the subframe. I figured the stock A-brace was flimsy as it is, so I jacked it up as long as the saddle touched all of the subframe. It's a very dummy design. Most other vehicles have their jacking point all the way in the front, yet Toyota figured it's be a nice idea to put the subframe all the way in the back without having some other suppor up front

I think I might cut a 2x4 to almost the same size as the jack point and put that in the saddle. Then everything could fit within the saddle like it should.

In the meantime fellas, here's what happens if you try to jack up the car from the frame rail in the back of the car:
Yes, I have the same issues on my Lexus GS 400 1999. There's no place for me to jack up the rear w/o damaging it.......I don't see anything like what is on the pix above......so, looks like I'm SOL.........
I was trying to save money by doing my own rear brakes, however, if I can't jack up the car w/o damaging it, I guess I'll have to take it to the shop....
If anybody have any suggestions, please let me know.....thanks....

Jack it up from the rear differential. I believe that should work fine and then place some jack stands under the car.

What Henry circle looks like it's for a different year GS400 or other model Lexus....because I don't see any of those under my '99 GS400, except the side of the car/front of the back wheels. However, thanks for the options.

Yes, I have the same issues with my 1999 GS 400 frame railing in the back.....very strange that it works great in the front, however, not the back.
