You mean to say that you guys actually experienced throttle failure while the car was moving? Happened to me twice but both were at stop lights...completely stopped...only when light turned green and I "floored" it did the throttle not repond...Geez..this is dangerous if it stops responding while you're going 50

He made a note of my complaint, but said nothing will be done until more people either call the Customer Service department with their concerns or the dealerships notify Lexus of frequent part replacement.

Damon,
Until the car is fixed and the cause of the problem is actually determined, all you have is a price quote for what they think the problem is. It is simply unacceptable for the CS agent to blow you off before the actual cause of the problem is determined. Right now you are driving a car that could get you killed. I would eat the $400 and get the car fixed, then worry about reimbursement. Please don't risk you life over $400!

Default Thanks mumbles

Mumbles,
I truely appreciate your concern for my life. That was kind!

After I left the car there at the dealership, they notified me of the problem. I then made the decision for them to fix it. The estimated cost was provided to me, and I was able to pick the car up that afternoon.

So far, the problem seems to be fixed. For me, the lack of throttle response only occured at a stopped position. One time it occurred after switching from reverse to forward, the other when I stopped at a stop sign. In both cases, I was shocked. But, like I said, the problem seems to be fixed.

Thanks again for everyones insight and interest in this thread.

-Damon
