Default cabin filter??

i just got a cabin filter and it does not fit my 2000 gs400. the filter fits in the square plastic holder but is too thick and will not fit back in the compartment.

does the cabin filter vary from year to year??

it should be the same for all GS. Maybe you got the wrong one?

I got your PM about the filter and have responded, not sure what is going on. It fits my '01 430 perfectly and the other PM's I received from the other buyers indicate no problems, just praise (so far). Could there be something in the way inside the slot? How does it compare to your old filter? You do know there is a up and a down side to the plastic tray? Just trying to touch all bases here.

I'm on the same boat. I too have the same filter and got it from GWELEX. I guess it might vary.

Got your PM too and I have replied. It appears both of you own 2000 model GS's and the proof is is becoming evident that these filters won't work for 2000 and earlier models. Check your PM and let's get this squared away.

I just checked the part number for the cabin filter. The 98-00 uses different filters than the 01-05. I rather get the thicker filter if I could

I just received the SAME thick cabin filter from Toyolexparts.com. I too have a 2000 GS400. Do you need to use the tray or can I just slide the "thicker" new cabin filter in there...it fits snug.
