Light smoke..On the tails
Hey guys, I have been debating this for longer then we have been thinking of the meaning of life. Well I still cannot decide. My car is Beige Metallic and my wheels are on the darker side. They aren't quite gunmetal but aren't silver. It's super hard to get the color on them. I need something to pull them together and have though of VERY lightly smoking my tail lights. What would you guys think on this?

Man, I vote for smoking out the lights.
The place where I bought my taillight film from has three different intensities of darkness.
Charcoal – the darkest… allowing 70% light out put (this is what I have)
Smoked – allowing 83% light output
Gun Smoke – this shade is new, I doubt its darker than the charcoal

The films are a whole lot cheaper than swapping out the lights entirely, so if you don’t like it, then you are only out 60 bucks instead of 1200 or so.

Just goto a tint shop and ask for a few little scraps of left over tint. Usually they throw those away so they will give it to you if you ask. Otherwise slip them a few bucks and they won't have a problem with it. If still no luck, you can buy a whole roll for about $20-30. It's a lot cleaner than the pre-cut overlays but window tint takes a bit of skill to apply.
I just did my 02 gs300 orange part with the red overlay from ebay. THEN applied 35% smoked tint on it from ebay. It all cost me around $30 and it looks amazing. I have the black and white theme going. Ill try to post pics in a few days as my camera isnt working.
