I am getting ready to get the car into the shop in the next few months, so I am planning the build...

While I generally dont ask others opinions, I am curious... please tell me what you think about painting the roof charcoal...

Thanks to Seize for the photoshop... if the owner of the car doesnt want me to use thier photo, please let me know.

Other mods planned...

Prussian Blue aero kit
Blue tint
Custom body work, mild accents, possibly stretched front and rear wheel wells
OEM rear spoiler chopped for a sleaker profile
Wider rears
Color will be millenium silver with hint of charcoal
Roof painted charcoal grey

I plan on keeping this car a long time, it has 50K on it and should I be only driving it about 4-5K a year.

 

It's been done before and come out pretty well but what is the charcoal grey going to match on the rest of the car? Don't think it's going to look right as a stand alone. There's a white GS on here that's pulled it off. I thought about doing it to my Mil Sil but I was going to go with black rims to match.

 

I think it would look good, a member her Jonathan (not sure of screen name) painted his roof black, and his dronell ca-05 rims black as well. it looks nice. it reminds me of the panoramic roof of the Eclass benz.

Yeah, I saw jawnthen's car, it looks good. I thought about the pano roof when I thought about this, and havent seen it on anyone elses car. I dont know if I want to go black, I thought a deep charcoal might still give me the look I want while still blending to the silver a bit.

 

It will be a different look but a Nice outcome ! I have seen it too

 

I think other parts should be painted as well.. Try to photoshop the TTE lip and rear spoiler and see how that turns out.. GL..

 

The Millenium Silver should look real nice! I would probably add a touch of black to the hood and trunk to go with it? I say go for it!

 

eh... I really love it on the Scion TC... but on the GS I'm not too sure about it. From the photoshop, the charcoal looks like it's a matte finish. Maybe if it was a polished finish.

Oh my gosh, that car is incredibly perfect.

I LOVE IT!

 

The roof might look better black to blend in more with the sunroof, but everything else sounds top notch.

Definitely looking forward to seeing the Prussian Blue kit and the modified OEM spoiler.
