the car is a 99 gs400 with 117k on the odometer. Green exterior with tan interior. Overall its in good shape with all vin tags attached and looks all original. It does have navigation, the ugly 15" wheels and no spoiler. Clean carfax and has a pretty good service record. What is a car like this worth? and what would most of you pay for one?

There are a number of resources to determine the value of a second gen GS either as a buyer or as a seller:

Some formal resources for determining the value of your car includes:

Edmunds TMV: http://www.edmunds.com/tmv/used/lexus/index.html
KBB http://www.kbb.com/kbb/UsedCars/defa...sedCarsTabLink
NADA http://www.nadaguides.com/default.as...1&m=1201&da=-1

Each of the above resources have some great advise for buying and selling used vehicles.

Look for what other similar vehicles are selling for, but keep in mind 'local' market impact on your selling price.
The internet is a great place to sell and buy new and used vehicles, but like any large online purchase do your homework. Listed below are a few sites that have members of their websites able to sell and buy vehicles such as the Lexus GS. Some online resources include:

Our own Club Lexus Vehicle Classifieds
Autotrader
E-Bay Motors
Cars.com
Craigslist

I could barely get $10,000 for my 99GS400 with the exact same mileage. They're not worth very much these days unfortunately (for me, fortunately for you)

I personally dont prefer cars with more than 50,000 miles. but i've heard the lexus can go for long time. you should be able to get another 100,000 miles out of it. GL!

If you get a car with that many miles, you're going to have to check out the:
starter
timing belt
door actuators
motor mounts
transmission mounts
ball joints
shocks

Some of those things on the above list will cost a grand or more to fix. Lexus cars have a reputation for being reliable, but a high mileage GS is going to cost you
