I have a question. I noticed that the 430 on the trunk is slightly lower than the GS. Now, I've seen other GS430 that were straight across? Does this mean mine was re-badged? It has never been in an accident.

I don't unfortunately. I need to take one to show everyone. The 430 part is probably 1/4" lower than the GS.

 

Did you buy the car new? Why are you so sure it wasn't in an accident?

 

The original badge may have been ripped off or stolen. Some of the little honda boys around here tend to rip off the lexus emblems...and 400/430 ones. So, it may be a new badge, just installed improperly.

 

Just out of curiousity, why would someone with a Honda want to steal a 400/430 badge?

 

I've had two GS400s, and on both cars the 400 was a little off. Take a look at some other cars to convince yourself. I doubt there's any issue with your car.

 

To eliminate any doubts of proper mounting, debadge the emblems and keep the Lexus "L"!

 

I just went and looked and it looks like the 430 is a little lower on mine too. Not near a 1/4" but barely. Ive never noticed it really.

After installing my chrome trunk bar, I noticed my L emblem was crooked. I don't know what's up with that.

 

my "300" looks a tadbit lower then my "GS" now that i stare into it.

 

i just looked at mine and the 400 is lower than the GS lol i'm gonna do a rebadge cause i'm **** and that's gonna bug me lol

 

No idea. Some of the "little boys" do stupid things.

 

when I had mine replaced they put it on crooked and had to have it adjusted, it bothered me to no end....
