Its cheaper to do your own $300-$500ish depending on A Lot of factors lol. But if you mean retrofitted as in buying someones complete set... Well supply and demand will drive that right up to the highest bidder. $500 plus stocks up to and past $1k

Just depends on what you are willing to pay really.

I would say between $600 to $800 . I've seen a lot go for the $600 area plus stock headlights to replace the retros

Didn't realize people ask that much of them.
That's about double for what I paid for my retrofit overall.

Yes you'll need HID kit if you don't already have 'em on your stocks.
Even if you have stock HID's you'll still need new bulbs 'cause the stock ones are D2R and those Q45's need D2S'.
I'd recommend 5000K but each to its own.

Im planning on just buying a pair of clean retrofits. Doing them myself seem a bit challenging... but then again. When I bought my GS the previous owner already bought brand spankin new headlights. Not a spec of dirt or scratches or any yellow muck. I dont want to risk running a brand new set trying to do a retrofit myself. But, depends on how hard it is to do. How hard would it be to do a retrofit? What are the best projectors to retrofit into our housings anyway?

There's one very important part missing and that is how you attach the projectors onto the original bezels and how you get them aligned the exact same way on both sides.
That's one reason I did mine without the original bezels and it was a PIA to get them to fit and work properly.

Edit: You can check my topic of my retrofit to see what I had to go through. It is very crucial to pick the right projectors and shrouds right from the start because those are the things that define if the job is easy or not.

Here is my contribution fresh off the press! M45/35 with tinted housing oem, dneso ballast, 4300k, d2s bulbs, and I'm in love with the new appeal.
