On the other Hand The D3 is the only one that will play Ipod Videos! wich is just convient because then you dont have to keep switching DVD's or CD's! wich solves your removing GPS dvds on trips and other uses!

The Eclipse AVN systems look to be great, I am deffinetly going that route. I am waiting for th 6600 which will work with XM instead of Sirius. Eclipse is Fujitsu Ten which is the same as the new Lexus factory systems.

Just remember that youll have to use the ipod-unit to change tracks etc. as the D3 isnt able to do this on its own

umm...i think with the CD-BTB100 additional unit, you COULD be able to change your tracks on your ipod using the D3 unit itself. I might be wrong tho, that is what i've been told by crutchfield help online live. Please correct me if i'm wrong, because i'm debating as well.

the d3 is a very nice unit, i just installed mine the other day (will post pictures later). nav and media can be played at the same time only when nav is in memory mode. it stores your most recent routes. and disables all search options. you only get a map, and when youre out of the stored memory radius, the satellite is broadened.

but overall i like the unit, i plan on just buying the ipod cable ($30).

Oh mama! Nice! Im considering either this one or the Kenwood DDX-8029 (8019 for guy guys) myself

Come to think of it...IMHO it would perhaps look better if the 2-din bezel, ac-controls and the vents where black. This would give it that oem-look

my cousins boyfriend just installed a d3 in to his 350z last week had a chance to take a look at it on easter

i think that its great for the price he got his for 700 and installed it himself
u can listen to the radio and ipod while inputing directions into the navi
for 700 its a great bang for your buck navi system

its gonna be my first mod when i get my gs

Hello,
I have the avic-n1 and love it. A unit that is a flap away is the best.
