Default Wheel offset thread help

I've tried to do the search but is there a wheel offset thread that is around that can help noobs like me on finding the correct offset to relative wheel size with tire size information as well?
For example:

What is the stock wheel size and offset?
What offsets will work on a staggard set-up?
What wheel widths will work on the front and rear?
What size tires are ideal set-ups for certain widths / rim size
etc. . . .

I wish there was a sticky for something like this.

Any help would be great. I actually found a set of 19's staggard set-up 9.5 on the front and 10.5 in the rear. Seller says it has a +20 offset. I'm trying to confirm is that is for all 4 wheels, I doubt it.

Anyone have any idea if this will work? and what size tires I'm looking at?

Thanks all.

I am about to order some 19x9 19x10 with a +15 offset all around. They will poke on a properly aligned car, but i have plenty of camber and the car will be going in for air-ride this fall. You can get those sizes to work fine, but there will be a little work involved if you dont want negative camber.

that size you are tryin to run might be a little wide they poke out a little bit. 19x8.5 and 19x10 with a 40mm offset front and 35 to 40mm offset rear. this would be a good stance for you, and here's the tire size for that set up, 245-35-19(f) and 275-35-19(r). if you gots some questions man p.m. me, i own and operate a tire and wheel shop so anything you want to know holla at me.

Thanks. Do you think a 40 series tire on 19's will make it too 4x4ish? Only reason I ask is because my wife drives the car too and I'm afraid that she will hit something and bend the crap out of my wheels.

Man, you should consider doing like a recommended size/offset/tire combo and have it stickied. that would help out a lot of members.

Thanks again for your input.

yeah i think the 40 would be that 4x4 look you talking about.. the 18's with the 40 i ran for a while looked like a big marsh mellow . 20's with a 35 are not that bad i havent bent anything yet and i drive some bad roads arround here. the 19 with the 35 should be ok even if wifey drives..

+20 offset?? you're going to have to do some serious fender modding to fit this on your car. you may try to stretch the tires if you want that look.

these are SC430 or G35/350z offsets.

19 x 10.5 +29 in the rear would work. of course you would have to roll or shave your rear fenders. but itll fit. ive seen it.
