Default Tire wear

I wanted to know if anyone else that has l-tuned s/s ever experienced inside tire wear. I have has these tires on my car for 6 months and the inside on both sides are wearing, It was aligned when I first put the tires on so Iam going to get another alignment and see if this helps any.Is there anything else that I can do or is it just one of those things that I have to live with?

i heard even with a proper alignment, if you drive hard and take hard turns, your insides will eventually wear out sooner than the outsides.

rotate your wheels every four months if you have staggered wheels swap the inside part to the out side. they are still going to wear, but this way they should last longer. i though the L-tuned springs only dropped an inch. i don't think that is enough to have negative camber, anyways; rotate the wheels then do an alignent.

Adjust the toe correctly and swapping will not be neccessary, the tires will wear more evenly and will last even longer. Also note some tire designs do not allow swapping inside to outside tread.

I've been less active on the boards this past year due to family priorities and have just started posting recently. Glad you still caught this in time.

You can also do an advanced search in the Reginal Forums under "Northern California" and enter keyword " +custom +alignment " to read on the history.

Be forwarned that there will also be a lot of meet activity showing up on this search since we have held several meets there, over the years.

Happy Reading

aligment takes care of toe, if alignment is bad than tires will wear out faster than neg camber. all the tires i ever had can run on both sides. they can't be rotated accross because they are directional, but if you dismount and swap; that's what i am talking about. it's like rotating, but a more pain in the @ss way. that's what my tire guy recommended on my first gen and so far my tires have lasted longer. also i said four months, but it really comes down to four thousand miles.

Doesn't sound like you read post #4 on the link I provided above.

I'm talking about asymmetrical tires, not directional. You can't swap those since the inner tread is designed to be ONLY on the inside of the rim.

Default Tire wear

Mine does the same thing, inside of tires all wear down way too fast , I Have the Eibach pro kit, and its been alligned a few times, and still does it. I think we need a camber kit, my tires wear down every 6,000 mile, and have to be replace, what a shame lol.
