GS300 and GS400 is NOT close in power. You can tell a MAJOR difference between the two but drive them for yourself and decide. Drive the gs400 first and then the gs300. If the power difference is minimal to you....still get the gs400 (the gas mileage is about the same!!!!!! but you get the ability to smoke someone when the need arises....."sometimes you gotta race"-Dave Chappele)
I highly recommend against repainting a car a different color as to do it right would mean to pull the engine, interior,etc....
Just buy what you want and don't let the excitement turn into regret down the line. Many here have said, "should have waited", "should have got nav", "should have got a 400", etc.... Write down what you want and stick to it with some patience. These cars are very affordable these days and come on the market often. Surely what you are looking for is around the corner.
I would get the color I wanted and not buy a differently colored one if I were you.
When I bought my GS 4 years ago, I really wanted a blue one but got impatient and got the silver one instead. To this day, I regret not waiting and finding a blue one instead.
I have to agree. Wait until you find the right color because if you get a car that's sweet but you dont like the color you'll always be envious of everyone else who has one in the color you want.
I waited 8 months when i was searching for an Escalade. I bought a 99 Escalade in 02 and made sure it had exactly what I wanted. The previous owner upgraded to 20" wheels, put a TV/VCR/Playstation combo in there, billet grille, upgraded air intake...
So be patient and wait until you find the right car for you
alright no prob... you guys think i should sell my ES be4 i go out and get the GS
I always buy a car and keep my old one before I sell it until everything is done and settled if I'm not trading it in. You end up doubling up on cars but I like the peace of mind if anything delays me getting the car or I have to wait until all the paperwork is done, etc. then I still have my old car to fall back on during that process.
alright cool... why is it so hard to find a GS400 lol im thinking about to just go with the black on black 300 since its just a horsepower thing im not a person to race anyways
yeah, thats what i think im going to do since the one im looking at is a 2000 GS300 black/black its worth 17 450 on the market with 135 Km which is 83,884 miles for u guys in the states so if anything and i see a GS400 that is a easy trade in!
