quick question about our RWD
so i got this 98 GS400... i got stuck in the snow and noticed only my passenger side rear wheel is turning... is that right??? ain't both supposed to turn? am i paranoid and losing my mind???

If you keep the VSC on, one wheel is going to spin. The power is going to go to the wheel the computer thinks has more traction.
If you take the VSC off, both wheels will try to spin.
I've been stuck in the snow in the GS and to move out, I took the VSC off.

It depends on the LSD.
A clutch type LSD will try to turn both wheels.
a torsen type LSD (like the surpa LSD what's popular on here) will basically be an open differential if one of the wheel has zero traction.
Just because it's LSD doesn't always mean both wheels will be spinning
