Default Is this a good deal???

I am looking at an 01 GS3 white pearl with about 72k miles on it. Its fully loaded with the mark levingston sound system , navi, seat warmers, all of that. They are asking 20k for the car and i offerred 18k. Assuming i get it for 18k would this be a good deal? I had a 00 GS before with all the options and i loved it...i went to the dark side and bought bimmers and realized that was a big mistake. Coming back to the family now. Is this a good deal?

BMW you think about it. Costs about 3 times as much as any lexus to repair. I own currently an 02 BMW 525i that i love but gave to my fiance. The car runs great and all and *knock on wood* hasnt had any problems yet. I also own an 02 M3 thats giving me problems eversince i bought it. I dont drive it much and need a reliable car now because im purchasing a house soon and cannot have car problems. BMW's are notorious for electrical problems and ive had a couple already. My 00 GS had only one problem when i had it and i drove it alot. It had 137k miles when i sold it back in 04. The only problem i had with that was the alternator. My M3 its another story. Although i fixed it all i just dont want it to hapen again.

Oh and with BMW's you HAVE to run synthetic thats why their oil changes are always about 70-150 bucks. think about that every 6k miles.

moving quick don't switch over completely...Dont get me wrong the m3 is the ultimate driving machine if you ask me. When i do settle down and have all my priorities straight with the house issue. I will definately get another M3 E46 2001-2006 model. But i will make it a race car/ weekend car and nothing else but that. DAily driver for M3? no way.

Could be fair for that price but not a steal. Mark Levison System does not sound as good as the Nakamichi. (I have both in 2 cars)
If you owned a previous GS4 remember the "power" is not the same in a GS3 and the fuel economy is about the same. I'd go for a GS4 instead. I waited about 4 months till I got the one I was looking for: "2000 black on black".
But if you feel in love with that car, go for it!

I don't think that is a good deal at all. I got my 430 with 74k miles, or 78k miles, don't remmeber anymore for $20,400 after tax title and registration fees. Oh and I got it from Lexus. Before taxes and all that stuff, we settled on $18,500. This was all two years ago.

Doesn't sound like the greatest deal, but you know more about the car than I do. I just bought a 99 GS4 loaded, 78k miles with a Nakamichi sound system....in excellent condition for 13k.

GS3 w/76K...hmmmm it is an o1 though but still. GS4's are about that price with those options at that mileage so I would say that it is not a good deal. I would expect 13-15k max

I bought my 99' gs4 at a bentley dealer in Downers grove and it is fully loaded. pulled off with no more than 18k in it. Best car I have ever had.

I think if it would be '02-'03 GS300 than yes, but '01 GS fully loaded should range betwen 15-18K depending on actual condition
