Default HELP...purchasing soon!

I posted this to the suspension forum but:

Hi All,
I am about to purchase either a 540 bmw or lexus gs 400 or 430. I want to know how much it will cost me to have the lexus handling like the bimmer. I'd go with the lex but for its more sluggish handling. If I can accomplish this aftermarket for not too much dough, I'll buy a gs.

Also, if anyone has a gs for sale please post details.

thanks,
Zach

Braces, sways, springs and shocks are about $1500 + install. With that lot you'll eat a 540i (w/ sport package) for breakfast. My neighbor has a 540i so I know.

Zach,

msray is trying to sell his mint gs400 at a very reasonable price, it is under the title "am i asking a little too much". we just had an extensive discussion on his sale of GS yesterday...

just get the stuff that Bit recommednd, you can even get one item at a time untill the handling reaches your goal.

steve of carson toyota supplied the items at a discount. his name is SUPRATRD on this board

In addition to the suspension parts Bit recommended, don't forget the Steering ECU for another $125 or so. This stiffens the steering a bit.

Default other tweaks?

Thanks for the info, y'all. What engine or other tweaks do you recommend to increase performance?

thanks,
Zach

Zach, many here like the Swift Racing intake with piggyback fuel/air ECU. $600+install I believe.

Also, many like the Precision Industries replacement torque converter (TC) which apparently makes the car put its power more effectively to the pavement. I think this is about $900+install.

Beyond that, Swift does make superchargers, but I don't know about the power increases and they're big dough.
