Wondering.
What is the age of you GS3 & 400 drivers?? a friend of mine was over @ my crib today and I showed him this site. Basically he says GS3's & 4's are for older ppl (35+) years old and I should be looking for a IS instead and leave the flag ships for the elders. this is why I ask, just want to see the average age here.

Your friend is right that the average age of GS owners overall is probably 35+. But on this board the average age is much lower because it's for enthusiasts. Then there's some, ahem, more senior guys on here, like me.

I am positive it is near or at the 40s possibly even high 40s. SImply cause most people in GS don't mod or are not interested not to mention the large amount of leased ones. Younger people tend to be more internet inclined which may make it seem as if the GS is owned by mostly young people when that is not the case. The GS is a 45-55k car new and not many younger people can afford that and even if they could, their credit probably can't get it.
The GS does not have the IMAGE or PERCEPTION, IMO of an elder person's car. And that counts for a lot. That is one of the reasons I love it. It's IMAGESOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES!!!
If I could do it over again, I would possibly buy an IS to save some money and invest more in something that appreciates instead of depreciating (the difference in price).
However, with 98 GS 300 and 400 prices in high 19s and low 20s, you have nothing to lose, IMO.

Let's rephrase the question to...
How old does the average GS driver act?
From speed-lovin teen
to...
Speed limit ***** soccer mom
to...
The occasional i'll slam the petal to the metal middle aged man
to...
The slow and steady elders
That should make the thread more intresting?

99 Road Report by Daniel Heraud provided the following demographics for GS300:
83% Man 17% Woman, Average Age 47, 93% Married, 61% College and Median Income $82,500
It all comes down to the price of a new GS, how many 18 year old can afford a brand new GS. I would pick the GS4 over the IS anyday. The GS4 has a more powerful engine, and it is a bigger car than IS. I do a lot of highway driving so handling around the curves isn't my first priority. There are many pre-owned low-mileage GS4s available below the price of a new IS. If you want a larger and more powerful car than the IS, get a GS4.

I bought my GS300 in 01, a month before my 29th birthday (im 30 now) I use it as my "pimp ride" Dont use it everyday as I have a company car and I drop my wife off at work. Hate to say this on a Lex board, but Im not into modding my GS300....I like her how she is....The only mods that I did were upgrae the 16's to 17's and add a factory spoiler. All mod money goes towards my 2000 Yellow Corvette. But this much is true......Its an awesome car...the GS4xx is probably tons better, and they are priced pretty reasoably if you are in the market for a used one. When I bought the car, I knew I liked it alot, but not as much as I wound up liking it. If you are on the fence on buying one, I'd say Go For It!!!

And age is a state of mind anyway. I've known dull stiff boring 20 somethings that act like old tired men. I'm 51, drive fast enough to get 7 moving violations in two years (bad luck mostly), spend most of my life gambling, and travelling with my younger GF, and drove home tonite after two tough hours of racquetball with Green Day cranked at full volume. I'm not trying to act younger, I just do what I like.
And one of the things I really really really like is my GS!! And I'd have liked it 30 years ago when I drove a Volvo P1800 sports coupe, and I'll still like it in 30 years when I'm 81.
