GS Udpate | New Rims | Photos
Howdy all,
I've had my GS for about 13 months and put over 26K miles on her already. She's a '99 GS400 black/black that just hit 69K miles. She's driven cross country, been to LA numerous times and even been to San Jose for the wonderful EOS meet that LGW NorCal puts on. I only have a couple decent photos to post at the moment, but I'll take some more this weekend.
The rims/tires are new as of three days ago. The Lsportlines have always been a favorite of mine and I'm happy to finally have a set of my own.
Thanks to many of you for the advice/input on what mods to tackle and helping me learn from your experiences. I'd like to give some big props to Cliffud for getting me hooked on the Lexus bug. I'm sold for life now. I'd also like to thank Todd @ TM Engineering for all the help and making my "baby" what she is today. He's done the work to make my projects happen and I've made a great friend.
Mods include:
Staggered 19's - Lsportline M4s w/ Pilot Sport A/S - HOT!
Eibach/Bilstein combo
Tanabe Touring Medalion Exhaust
TRD CF grille w/ black pearl L emblem
Philips HID fog conversion kit
SRT intake w/ ECU
Daizen sways
Daizen bushings
TRD STB
'01 + tails
OBX clear corners
A grip of LEDs
Peace out.

I'm very impressed how sweet the drop is with the Eibach/Bilstein combo, looks low but conservative. How does the ride feel?? I know it's been a discussion many times, just want your personal opinion. Nice ride!!

Thanks for all the great compliments and feedback. The whole process has been a learning experience. A lot of the mods have come from talking to others, listening to their feedback and kind of finding my own direction from there. There are a lot of great cars here on CL and the other forums I cruise. I think one great thing about cars is that the represent the style of the owner ... everything from mild to WILD.
One thing I have learned though, and this is personal thought, is do it right. Nothing looks worse than a beater car or something that someone has rushed to get done. If there is a mod that cost $500 and you have $250, don't buy the $300 option just to get it done. Take your time, save up your coin and buy what you really want when you can. I have had to learn this myself. Patience grasshopper ... patience.
